[Taipei] Mo-Mo-Paradise, a paradise indeed!

Let's start with a boring short introduction, Mo-Mo-Paradise is an All-you-can-eat restaurant established in 1992 that specializes in shabu-shabu/sukiyaki.
When it comes to hot-pot, being a Chinese I am pretty familiar with it, we eat hot-pot practically every Chinese New Year and for several days! urgghhhh.
BUT!
This is something else, to me no other hot pots can rival with this. I present to you......(drum-roll)...............
 the Mo-Mo-PARADISE!

Look at the stripes of red and white so beautifully intertwined...

The broth (seems like the Japanese sweet soy sauce) is the ultimate culprit for my hideous diet crime. Everything, I mean everything including the vege, after a bath in this broth seems to level up.
To make it simple, it's precisely this broth that enhances the flavour. That's why even yucky food like tofu =P became delicious acceptably edible.

The person who introduce me to this glory. Nancy - the youngest/cutest teacher at the school where I taught for 3 months.

Not to mention their rice (similar to Japan) that absorbs the broth perfectly.

refill !!!

Apparently they have a few branches in Taiwan alone and of course Tokyo. Just visit their page for maps Mo-Mo-Paradise
The one I went to is at the top floor inside a building that located just beside Taipei's main train centre.

Till then, adiós!

Taiwan - Jiufen (九份) at night

When the sunlight goes down, the red lanterns started to lit up, the mist invade every nook and cranny and the result -  a stunning mysterious Jiufen. It seems that any ordinary passageway would turn into a secret path that might leads you to the hidden world of The Spirited Away.

The best in town, a MUST try dessert

Another must try snack, a glutinous rice cake 草仔粿

I actually came here 3 times! haha my favourite place of all!

p/s: on how to get here, it's in my other post. Taipei - Jiufen 九份

Taipei 台北 - Jiufen 九份

So there are a few options on how to get to Jiufen, you can go to the main Taipei Railway Station --> Ruifang Station, then bus ---> Jiufen. For me I had a local friend/tour guide who drove us to Ruifang Station first, then bought the bus ticket at a local mart to Jiufen.

the square to wait for the bus (right infront of Ruifang瑞芳 Station)
Ruifang Station 瑞芳车站 (our tour guide in red =P)

Walk around and found this stall and seriously I strongly recommend it!

Do get your camera ready cuz the view along the way is also spectacular!
Don't fret which station you should stop, cuz there are 3 main stops when you're up in the mountain (Jiufen being one of them). There are buses going around so no worries. That was how we ended travelling around and no regrets!

We first stopped by the YingYang Sea(阴阳海)and walked around. Luckily it was a BEAUTIFUL sunny day (am obsessed with BLUE ocean and BLUE sky)
